    Hi Keely, thanks for posting!
We’re a Christ-centered youth group in Minneapolis that has programming both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. We have a wide range of students, some from church families and some from the surrounding community.
We do offer confirmation but do not pressure it. Instead, we encourage it as a means to become more fluent in faith, deed, and knowledge. Our confirmation acts as a small group layered over our Wednesday night youth group, which all students attend.
If he arrived as many other students on a Wednesday, your 8th grade son would join in our large group discussion (6:30p) , then be placed in the Middle School boys small group (6:50p), where a group of volunteers would lead discussion on the weekly topic (the current 18-week series is titled ‘Follow Jesus’), and then he would join all students again for a time of worship (7:45p) .
If he was wanting to join confirmation, he would join the 1st year confirmation group led by pastor Ben in place of the middle school small group.

I hope that’s not too overwhelming! Feel free to email me or call anytime, my information is above. If you’d like to meet up to chat that can be arranged, no problem.
